Our Wedding

We have booked Penhein Glamping site for the bank holiday weekend, from the 22nd to 25th May. We hope this will allow time to relax and catch up. If you can't make the whole weekend we would love to see you on Saturday. Rough plan is below.

Friday

We hope as many of you as possible can join us on Friday afternoon/evening. Check-in for those staying in the Alachighs on-site is from 4pm. Campers may be able to check in a little earlier. Let us know what time you might be arriving. We'll settle in, cook some marshmallows and then get an early night ready for the big day.

Saturday (the big day)

We'll have a relaxed morning as everything will have been meticulously planned and organised! Please gather for the ceremony at 1pm, exact location within the site is somewhat dependent on the weather. There is no dress code, we want everyone to be comfortable. If you would like to dress up, please do. Informal attire and fancy dress costumes also welcome! Raincoats and wellies advised (it's Wales). Seating for the ceremony is informal, bring your own picnic blanket or camping chair. (2 camping chairs are provided in each of the Alachighs) Drinks reception after the ceremony and food to be served around 3pm. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements. Music, campfires, dancing and more food to follow in the late evening

Sunday

For those of you who are staying on site (or nearby), it will likely be a late start to Sunday morning. Then, for anyone who is feeling energetic, we'll arrange an option for a walk and possibly a picnic by the river (weather dependent) There is a children's playground on-site and lots of space for games and activities if you would prefer not to venture too far. In the afternoon/evening we'll fire up the pizza oven and communal bbq - more details to follow.

Monday

It all has to end eventually. Check-out from the alachighs is 11am.

Weekend Plan

The on site accommodation is self catering. The area is quite rural and the closest supermarkets are 15 mins away in Caldicott. There is no on-site shop so we'd recommend arriving with your basic supplies. We will be providing some food and drink at various points over the weekend as detailed below. For those people staying in the Alachighs, each Alachigh has a cool-box (approximately 1 wine bottle high, 6 beer cans wide and 12 beer cans long). Ice packs are available on site.For campers, there is a communal fridge and freezer in the Cheat's Kitchen. On Friday evening we will have a pot of chilli and rice (or similar) so people can help themselves as they arrive. Please feel free to bring your own booze (just don't give any to Nick).Please let us know if you are likely to arrive in time for food on Friday evening so we can cater accordingly. If the weather is good we will have a campfire and marshmallows.

Saturday

Breakfast

You will need to provide your own breakfast. The on-site pantry usually has sausages, bacon etc. but we advise you to bring what you need.

Snacks

We have kids, we know they need food. We'll have some simple options for kids to graze on through the day. Feel free to bring your own snacks to add to this.

Directly after the ceremony there will be a drinks reception. Food will follow around 3pm. We will be having tapas and Paella. There will not be a separate children's menu, if your children have specific requirements please let us know or feel free to bring your own. We will provide wine and beer for the meal and evening reception. You are also welcome to BYOB. Later in the evening, we will have simple hotdogs and burgers available on the BBQ.

Breakfast & Lunch

Self catered. We may take a walk to a pub, or take a picnic to a river - depending on the weather. Watch this space.

Evening Meal

We're planning something to bring people together, but not formal. We will light the pizza oven and a communal BBQ, (we'll arrange the pizza dough, but bring your own toppings).

On-Site

Glamping Pods (Alachighs)

On site there are a limited number of glamping pods (Alachighs). These are reserved for those travelling from afar. I will send message with payment details! Alachighs are self catering. They have pots &amp; pans, a wood burner inside and a fire pit outside - and access to a shared cheat's Kitchen. Camping

Camping is available in the Wild Flower Meadow, from Friday to Monday. Please let us know in advance if you plan to camp and a pitch will be mown accordingly! Campers will have access to the cheats kitchen and shower block. Small camper vans are also welcome in the wildflower meadow.

Bell Tents

There is an option for pre-erected bell tents set up in the wildflower meadow with proper beds (£300) or futon (£200). There isn't one. We have too much stuff already so unless you're offering to come and clear out Nick's garage we just want the gift of your company!
